Introduction of a software solution for creating electricity price scenarios for long-term asset valuation at TIWAG. For a well-founded assessment of the current and future economic viability of existing facilities and expansion projects, a software solution based on a fundamental model is to be introduced. This will enable the creation of robust electricity price scenarios that take into account key influencing factors such as primary energy prices, the European power plant fleet, the transmission grid, and electricity demand. In addition, the model enables the analysis of regulatory, meteorological, and energy policy developments, for example changes to bidding zones, capacity markets, inflow risks, or the expansion of renewable energies, and thus supports well-founded investment and strategic decisions.
