Opportunity description

The contract for “Groundwater quality monitoring - campaigns 2027-2029” consists of taking groundwater samples from the wells of the VMM groundwater monitoring networks. The groundwater samples are then analysed for a series of parameters, namely the main inorganic cations and anions, including the nitrogen components, several heavy metal and salt ions, and the physicochemical parameters. An extensive number of pesticides, PFAS, TFA, pharmaceutical substances and VOCl’s are determined in a selection of the groundwater samples. Ion balances must be drawn up for the majority of the water samples taken. In addition, water level and depth measurements must be carried out for all well screens. This study concerns both “status and trend monitoring” and “operational monitoring” of groundwater quality in Flanders.
