Opportunity description

The City of Antwerp has an extensive portfolio of civil engineering structures that are under the (shared) ownership and management of the city. These include bridges, pedestrian and bicycle bridges, quay walls, canopies, tunnels, pontoons, jetties, sewers and other engineering structures. The Urban Development business unit is responsible for the management and maintenance of this complex infrastructure. This contract concerns the conclusion of a framework agreement for the periodic cleaning of various civil engineering structures owned and/or managed by the City of Antwerp. The purpose of the contract is to ensure the functionality, safety, durability and aesthetic quality of this infrastructure. The contract includes, on the one hand, the periodic cleaning, removal of moss and removal of various forms of contamination from civil engineering structures, infrastructure elements and bridge deck joints. On the other hand, it includes the systematic identification and reporting of detected damage to structural elements, finishing layers and protective layers.
