Opportunity description

VRT wishes to conclude a framework agreement for the purchase of software licences and software subscriptions, supplemented by services relating to licence management, software asset management, cost optimisation and software governance. The services also include support for the management and rationalisation of software acquired through various procurement channels. This lot includes software brokerage services for the purchase, renewal and monitoring of software licences, software subscriptions, SaaS solutions, cloud subscriptions and AI subscriptions used within VRT to support its business and operational processes. This includes both standard software and specialised software, including media software and software licences for workplace, server and data centre environments, as well as software that supports the entire lifecycle of digital products, from design and development through testing and deployment to monitoring, operational management and continuous improvement. The contractor supports VRT in the acquisition and monitoring of software available through customary reseller and distribution channels and is responsible for proactive licence management, contract management, vendor management and renewal management, including the timely monitoring of expiry dates, maintenance contracts and licence renewals. In doing so, the contractor supports VRT in achieving an optimal price-quality ratio. Microsoft and Adobe licences do not form part of this lot. This lot includes the purchase, renewal and monitoring of IBM licences and related maintenance and support contracts used within VRT. The lot concerns, among other things, IBM products such as Spectrum Protect, Aspera and Arema, as well as any successors or similar IBM solutions used by VRT during the term of the framework agreement. This lot includes, on demand, specialised services that support VRT in analysing, managing, optimising and governing its software landscape. The services aim to support VRT in gaining insight into software usage, software costs, contractual obligations, licence positions and software-related risks, as well as in identifying opportunities for optimisation and rationalisation. The contract includes, among other things, Software Asset Management (SAM) with monitoring of software usage, governance of cloud, SaaS and AI solutions, software lifecycle management, compliance reviews, audit support, analysis of software expenditure and credit card purchases, rationalisation of software usage, contract and cost optimisation, and advice relating to software management and software governance. In addition, services relating to the installation, configuration and management of purchased software may be procured on demand. The services support VRT in strengthening the transparency, manageability and sustainability of its software landscape and in making well-founded decisions regarding software usage, software investments and software governance.
