In collaboration with various partners, an opportunity map was developed to create a climate-resilient and more cohesive Open Space Network in Brussels and the Flemish Periphery. Through a service centre, the Department of Environment wishes to focus on supporting and relieving local open-space developers who can help realise this network in the Flemish Periphery. In this way, we focus on the area-based development of open space by providing guidance and advice for various small and large projects that can contribute to the development of ecosystems, more climate-resilient open space and a high-quality living environment. Within lot 1, we are looking for suitable and experienced teams to prepare preliminary studies, feasibility studies, design studies, policy-preparatory work, visions and (master) plans. These orders relate to the further operationalisation of the open space network in and around Brussels. They will form the basis for future development projects and policymaking and must therefore be both innovative and practically feasible. Within lot 2, we are looking for suitable and experienced teams to prepare implementation-oriented projects relating to the further operationalisation of the Open Space Network. These projects cover the entire process, from the conceptual design through the permit application and the supervision of the construction site until completion.
