Belgium – Tree-maintenance services – Green-space and cleanliness maintenance on the regional roads in the province of Flemish Brabant: D214, Aarschot.

Opportunity description

The purpose of this contract is to ensure the passability and safety of road users along the regional roads and their appurtenances in the province of Flemish Brabant by carrying out maintenance and repair work on the existing green infrastructure and performing periodic cleanliness maintenance. The contract mainly comprises: - carrying out management and maintenance work on the existing grass verges and plantings (mowing verges, trimming hedges, maintaining planting beds, …); - pruning and felling roadside trees along the regional roads; - limited (re)planting work and maintenance of these plantings during the warranty period; - collecting and removing litter; - carrying out cleanliness maintenance work on paved road and cycle-path surfaces (sweeping paved surfaces, cleaning traffic islands and raised paved structures); - cleaning street gullies, aquadrains and inspection chambers; - clearing ditches; - profiling verges by excavation; - repairing damage to the green infrastructure (following accidents) and in relation to cleanliness maintenance (illegal dumping, etc.); - carrying out work on a time-and-materials basis (e.g. following storm damage, …), insofar as this work cannot be compensated under the other items in the bill of quantities and is not a contractor’s obligation; - installing, maintaining and removing all statutory worksite signage required for the execution of all the aforementioned work; - removing all waste resulting from the work performed in accordance with the provisions of these specifications.
