The subject matter of the procurement is: Execution of construction and installation works at the site: “Improvement of the courtyard space of the Technological School ‘Electronic Systems’ (TUES) at the Technical University of Sofia, construction of outdoor sports courts and a courtyard gazebo for outdoor educational activities”. The site comprises the courtyard space of the Technological School “Electronic Systems” at the Technical University. According to the Building Permit, the site is First Group, Fourth Category. The courtyard space covered by this project has an area of 7873 sq.m. The construction and installation works covered by the procurement encompass the following parts: Architectural /A/, Structural /K/, Electrical Installations /EL/, Water Supply and Sewerage /WSS/, Landscaping and Geodesy. The Investor’s objective is to improve the open spaces by constructing paths and pedestrian zones, planting trees, creating recreation and walking areas, area lighting and a fence. Achieving a comprehensive architectural and landscape impact of the park space on the educational environment. Increasing the comfort of occupancy outside the educational institution’s building space, with improved opportunities for recreation and entertainment. Adding special educational features to the park space, as well as motivating students by presenting outstanding achievements in educational activities. An investment project has been prepared, coordinated and approved for the site at the Technical Design stage, covering the following parts: Architecture, Structures, Geodesy, Water Supply and Sewerage, Electrical, Landscaping, Fire Safety Opinion. The construction and installation works will be performed in two successive stages: 1. First stage – The first stage will include all construction and installation activities related to excavation, concrete works and infrastructure construction. At this stage, the existing asphalt pavement will be removed and replaced with a new one. Excavation of the soil base around the building foundations is envisaged so that waterproofing and drainage pipes can be installed in accordance with the details included in the Architecture and WSS project parts. A drinking-water fountain will be constructed in the sports area and supplied from the school’s existing water supply network. During soil excavation, the routes of the electricity supply network will be laid out and the locations for installing inspection chambers and lighting/video-surveillance poles shown in the Electrical project part will be formed. The fence along the street regulation line will be replaced entirely—on all sides of the school except for the lateral boundary with the neighbor to the northwest—PI 68134.4082.69—17 CDG Nadezhda. The fence will be constructed according to a structural detail, with a 60cm-high concrete plinth on which metal posts and openwork panels between them will be installed. This stage of activities includes constructing the foundations for the seasonal gazebo for outdoor educational activities. The fence around the courts will be made of metal posts resting on strip foundations according to a structural detail. The surfacing at the volleyball/basketball court, fitness area and straight track is rubber, which requires laying a concrete pavement according to a detail included in the Architecture project part. All these activities require heavy machinery and excavation of the courtyard space, which is why they must be performed first. 2. Second stage – Landscaping and planting, including construction of an irrigation system and vertical grading. At this stage, finishing activities for improving the courtyard will be performed, including: -laying the rubber surfacing at the volleyball/basketball court, fitness area and straight track; - construction of artificial-grass surfacing according to an architectural detail at the football field; - preparation of the base and laying the paved surfacing for the paths in the recreation area and the courtyard gazebo for outdoor educational activities; - construction of the courtyard gazebo for outdoor educational activities; - laying drip-irrigation pipes in the required locations; - planting vegetation according to the Landscaping project part. The construction completion period /period for performing the contracted construction and installation works and handover of the construction by the CONTRACTOR with Statement of Findings Form 15/ is up to 150 (one hundred and fifty) calendar days. The period for performing the contracted construction and installation works and handing over the construction begins upon handover of the construction site to the CONTRACTOR with protocol Form 2, pursuant to Ordinance No. 3 of 31.07.2003 on drawing up statements and protocols during construction, and ends with the handover of the construction by the CONTRACTOR with Statement of Findings Form 15. Protocol Form No. 2 for opening the construction site shall be signed within 10 calendar days from the date of signing the contract. The warranty periods for the performance of construction and installation works shall comply with the requirements of Ordinance No. 2 of 31.07.2003 on commissioning construction works in the Republic of Bulgaria and minimum warranty periods for completed construction and installation works, facilities and construction sites, calculated from the date the site is commissioned.
