“Supplies of food products for the needs of municipal enterprises, childcare and social institutions within the territory of Berkovitsa Municipality, using the Contractor’s transport, for a period of 24 /twenty-four/ months” in six lots: Lot No. 1 – “Bread and bakery products”; Lot No. 2 - “Various food products”; Lot No. 3 - “Meat and meat products”; Lot No. 4 - “Milk and dairy products”; Lot No. 5 - “Fresh fruit and vegetables”; Lot No. 6 - “Canned vegetables and fruit”; The subject matter of this public procurement includes the selection of a contractor for ongoing supplies of food products for the needs of municipal enterprises, childcare and social institutions within the territory of Berkovitsa Municipality, using the Contractor’s transport on the basis of written requests, for a period of 24 /twenty-four/ months in six lots”. The supplies of food products are intended for the following publicly funded institutions located within the territory of Berkovitsa Municipality: 1. Home Social Care Service (DSP) – Berkovitsa, 6 Musala St.; 2. Nursery – Berkovitsa, 17-19 Berkovska Reka St.; 3. Home for Adults with Dementia – Bistrilitsa (DPLD) – Bistrilitsa village, Berkovitsa Municipality, 7 Zhivovska St.; 4. Home for the Elderly (DSH) – Berkovitsa, 32 Stefan Stambolov St., as well as for the implementation of activities under the “Hot Lunch in Berkovitsa” project pursuant to the “Food and Basic Material Assistance” Programme 2021-2027. The types of food products from the various groups that are the subject of the supply are described in detail in the Contract Notice and the attached technical specifications by lot. Requirements for the supply of food products: - They must be produced, stored and supplied in compliance with the requirements of the applicable regulatory acts (Food Act, Health Act, etc.); - They must be labelled in accordance with the Ordinance on the provision of food information to consumers, adopted by Council of Ministers Decree No. 97 of 19.03.2021, promulgated in State Gazette, issue 25 of 26.03.2021, effective from 10.04.2021. The food products supplied must comply with all regulatory acts and provisions guaranteeing the quality, fitness and safety of the food products that are the subject of the procurement and must be accompanied by a certificate of quality, origin and fitness from the manufacturer or another document required by the country’s legislation as of the date of delivery. Supplies shall be made periodically upon prior request through designated persons from the publicly funded units – final recipients. The food products supplied must have intact packaging, original from the manufacturer, with labels in Bulgarian, and must contain information about the type of goods, manufacturer, quality, production date and expiry date, batch number, in accordance with the Ordinance on the provision of food information to consumers, adopted by Council of Ministers Decree No. 97 of 19.03.2021, promulgated in State Gazette, issue 25 of 26.03.2021, effective from 10.04.2021. Note: For items specifying a standard, specification, technical assessment, technical approval or technical reference pursuant to Art. 48, para. 1, item 2, in accordance with Art. 48, para. 2 of the Public Procurement Act, “or equivalent” shall be read. The indicated quantities are estimates based on consumption during the previous year. The quantities that are the subject of supply are variable, and the Contracting Authority reserves the right to change the quantities in view of actual needs. Since the performance of the supplies constitutes trade in food within the meaning of the Food Act, the conditions and procedure regulated therein and in the implementing regulations must be observed. The supplies of food products are intended for the following publicly funded institutions located within the territory of Berkovitsa Municipality: 1. Home Social Care Service (DSP) – Berkovitsa, 6 Musala St.; 2. Nursery – Berkovitsa, 17-19 Berkovska Reka St.; 3. Home for Adults with Dementia – Bistrilitsa (DPLD) – Bistrilitsa village, Berkovitsa Municipality, 7 Zhivovska St.; 4. Home for the Elderly (DSH) – Berkovitsa, 32 Stefan Stambolov St., as well as for the implementation of activities under the “Hot Lunch in Berkovitsa” project pursuant to the Operational Programme “Food and Basic Material Assistance” 2021-2027. The subject matter of the public procurement under the lot will be performed using the contractor’s transport through ongoing supply based on written requests according to the needs of the publicly funded units-final recipients, for estimated quantities by type of food product: 1.Tomatoes-198.80 kg; 2.Cucumbers-1000kg; 3.Fresh cabbage-5632.2 kg; 4.Potatoes-12000kg; 5.Garlic-102.7 kg; 6.Red onions-6102 kg; 7.Carrots-2000 kg; 8.Fresh green peppers-984 kg; 9.Green peppers for stuffing-419 kg; 10.Spinach-20.6 kg. , 11.Courgettes-761.6 kg; 12.Pumpkins -1694 kg; 13.White pumpkin-429.3 kg; 14.Melons-163.6 kg; 15.Peaches-14 kg; 16.Watermelons-3346.7 kg; 17.Oranges-952 kg; 18.Bananas-3001 kg, 19.Apples-2026 kg; 20.Mandarins-885.5 kg; 21.Grapes-550 kg; 22. Fresh mushrooms-110 kg; 23. Plums - 45 kg, 24.Fresh nettles-28 kg; 25.Broccoli-35; 26.Pears - 95 kg, 27.Apricot-50 kg, 28.Organic potatoes- 702 kg, 29.Organic cucumbers-255 kg, 30. Organic carrots-375.5 kg, 31. Organic bananas-640 kg, 32.Organic apples-500 kg. The quantities indicated in the bill of quantities for each individual lot are estimated and non-binding on the Contracting Authority - they may be increased or decreased depending on the needs of the publicly funded units – final recipients. Depending on the needs of the publicly funded units – final recipients and the financial resources available to it, the Contracting Authority has the right not to award supplies for the full value of the relevant lot. The specific package sizes of food-product items in litres, kg. and units indicated in the technical specifications by lot are preferred by the publicly funded units-final recipients because their many years of practice have demonstrated their expediency, namely, with the preferred menus used by the publicly funded units, these package quantities of food products are used most quickly, do not deteriorate in quality and are not wasted due to prolonged storage and/or spoilage.
