Bulgaria – Washing and dry-cleaning services – Washing, disinfection, drying and ironing of hospital linen and workwear

Opportunity description

The subject of this public procurement is the provision of daily washing services for hospital linen and employees’ workwear, including infectious linen, and includes all activities involving washing, thermal disinfection and chemo-thermal disinfection with enzyme- and oxygen-based detergents; removal of permanently fixed stains of biological and non-biological origin; drying and ironing of the washed linen and workwear; sorting by clinics/departments and packaging in single-use packaging without risk of damage or contamination, labeling of the packages; transportation to and from the place of performance for the handover and acceptance of the laundry; performance for the handover and acceptance of the laundry. The services concern: Hospital bed linen - sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, pillow, blanket, quilt; Operating-room linen - operating-room sheet, operating-room vaginal sheet, operating-room compress with a hole, operating-room compress without a hole, operating-room gown, operating-room tunic, operating-room trousers; Medical workwear - apron, tunic, trousers, coat; Baby linen – sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, diaper, incubator cover, quilt, blanket, booties, camisole, coverall; Infectious linen – protective clothing, hospital bed linen and medical clothing; Other - tablecloths, terry towels. Pursuant to Art. 80, para. 1 of the PPZOP in connection with Art. 12, para. 1, item 1 of the ZOP, the public procurement is reserved for participation by specialized enterprises or cooperatives of persons with disabilities that meet the conditions under Art. 12, para. 5 and para. 6 of the ZOP. Other interested persons may also participate in the procedure for awarding a reserved procurement contract, but their tenders shall be considered only if no tenders from the persons under Art. 12, para. 1 of the ZOP have been admitted. Performance of the contract shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of Ordinance No. 12 of 16.11.2018 on the health requirements for public laundries and Ordinance No. N-4 of 30 March 2026 on the organization of the prevention and control of infections associated with medical care, and the requirements of the contracting authority specified in the technical specification. The estimated daily quantity of laundry is approximately 200 kg, and the estimated quantity for 24 months is approximately 150,000 kg. The quantities are indicative and depend on the volume of the contracting authority’s activities. Collection of the dirty laundry and acceptance of the clean laundry shall take place in the building of “SBALAG - Maychin Dom” EAD, Sofia, 2 Zdrave St., laundry reception office, ground floor, loading entrance.
