The project concerns the complete design and construction of the Deneia – Akaki - Astromeritis Motorway, with 4 traffic lanes and a total length of approximately 18 km. It will connect the Nicosia-Kokkinotrimithia motorway with the Astromeritis-Evrychou motorway and will pass south of the villages of Akaki, Peristerona and Astromeritis. The typical cross-section includes 4 traffic lanes, each 3.5 m wide, with a central median and paved shoulders on both sides, 3.0 m wide. The construction works include, among other things, 4 grade-separated interchanges, the completion of an existing grade-separated interchange, earthworks and asphalt works, stormwater drainage works including works for the construction of a closed roadway stormwater drainage system, modifications to existing Utilities, installation of new Utilities, installation of road lighting, viaducts, overpasses and underpasses, box culverts and retaining walls.
