Opportunity description

The Plain Reconstruction is divided into 2 separate parts – “Infrastructure” and “Signalling Equipment”, which form a functional whole and are being procured in two separate procurement procedures. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to coordinate the timing of both procurement procedures for the individual parts of the Plain Reconstruction, since it is in the Contracting Authority’s interest to award (and subsequently implement) both parts of the functional whole of the Plain Reconstruction concurrently. Thus, for example, the Contracting Authority may reasonably extend the deadline for the submission of tenders, or amend or supplement the procurement documents in one of the procurement procedures in response to the progress of the other procurement procedure. In such cases, the Contracting Authority will proceed in accordance with Sections 98 and 99 of the ZZVZ. The procurement procedure will result in the conclusion of two contracts – a Contract for Work and a Cooperation Provision Contract. The purpose of the public contract is also to ensure cooperation concerning the Work whose execution is the subject of the Contract for Work, i.e. concerning all signalling equipment and all related equipment interfacing with the signalling equipment supplied as part of the performance of the Public Contract. The subject matter of this Public Contract is the execution of the construction project “Plain reconstruction of the railway line in the Lázně Bělohrad – Nová Paka section – Signalling equipment (hereinafter and hereinabove referred to only as the ‘Signalling Equipment’)”. The work involved in this construction project consists primarily of construction work on level-crossing signalling equipment and other parts of the railway infrastructure. The subject matter of the Public Contract also includes the provision of cooperation concerning the Work or parts thereof for the duration of the Cooperation Provision Contract, where parts of the Work mean (including but not limited to) signalling equipment and operational applications linked to the signalling equipment (hereinafter also referred to only as the “Equipment”), for the Contracting Authority’s possible future needs to connect additional Equipment from another contractor/manufacturer to the supplied part of the Work.
