Czechia – Installation of road signs – Supply and installation of vertical road signs

Opportunity description

The subject matter of the public contracts awarded under the established DPS will be the supply and installation of vertical road signs and devices pursuant to Decree No. 294/2015 Coll., implementing the rules of road traffic, including bridge numbers, hectometre markers, plates for marking sewer gate valves, markings for escape openings in noise barriers and SOS call boxes, warning lights, and windsocks. The subject matter of the public contract is the replacement of defective LED variable-message road signs (VMS) displaying the maximum permitted speed in the Valík Tunnel on the D5 motorway. The replacement will be carried out at both the Rozvadov and Prague portals of the tunnel at km 77.9, 77.8, 77.4 and 77.2. The existing LED VMS are used to display variable speed limits of 60 km/h, 80 km/h and 100 km/h depending on the current traffic and operational conditions in the tunnel. The affected devices have suffered a fault, as a result of which it is no longer possible to display the 100 km/h speed limit, which represents the standard traffic condition for normal operation. For this reason, it is necessary to replace the non-functional devices with new ones. The replacement of the defective LED VMS is therefore necessary to restore the full functionality of the variable traffic-sign system, ensure the correct display of all required speed limits (60 km/h, 80 km/h and 100 km/h), maintain road-traffic safety and flow, and ensure the reliable operation of the Valík Tunnel's technological equipment.
