Opportunity description
The system’s range covers all forms of IT operations services, including traditional on-premise solutions as well as cloud-based solutions and hybrid solutions. The system covers IT operations services under the seven service areas listed below and elaborated upon in Annex C, Subject matter of the System. In addition, as part of its delivery of IT operations services to the customer, the supplier is responsible for making the necessary operational adaptations and configurations and for providing cross-functional services and ordering services related to the IT operations services. Among other things, the supplier is responsible for operating, maintaining and administering the IT operations services and making the necessary minor adjustments, scaling up/down, configurations, patching, etc., and managing the service management processes, including documentation, reporting, the ITIL processes and participation in the customer’s governance organisation as part of the delivery of IT operations services to the customer. The supplier must likewise ensure that the supplier’s IT operations services have a high degree of security, which the supplier must incorporate into its IT operations services and ensure the necessary monitoring and control of. In connection with specific purchases under the system, the supplier must provide a transition-in service and, in connection with the complete or partial termination of the Delivery Contract, likewise provide a transition-out service. Common to both transition services is that the supplier must manage, operate and plan these phases and assist the customer, the outgoing supplier and the incoming supplier to the extent necessary to ensure a successful transition. It is possible to purchase various forms of IT operations services, all of which complement each other. The system has a high degree of flexibility and contains many different use cases that make it possible to purchase IT services such as, for example: publicly available cloud tools as well as managed cloud services and administration of cloud platforms, storage, backup, computing, physical floor space in a data centre, racks for IT equipment, WiFi solutions for offices, network cables for data centres, managed network solutions, VPN solutions, operation of standard and specially developed applications, database operations, middleware operations, rental of computers, tablets, PC monitors, headsets and associated mobile device management, as well as a service desk, Security Operations Centre (SOC), operation of modern office applications including email, collaboration platforms, archiving systems, etc. Overall, the system’s category contains the following seven service areas, with associated underlying services, cross-functional services and ordering services, which the customer can procure across: • Cloud operations • Data centre operations • Co-Location • Network operations • Application operations • End-user services • Security services Under the seven service areas, it is possible to procure capacity—for example, cloud capacity and server and storage capacity.
