Opportunity description
Region Syddanmark, Projektorganisationen for Nyt OUH is tendering 3 contracts in connection with an extension to the joint emergency department (also called FAM) at the new OUH. The 3 tasks are tendered as trade and main contracts, respectively. The tendered trade and main contracts are Contract 10: Technical installations, Contract 30: Façade sections & windows, and Contract 40: Fit-out, respectively. The purpose of the extension to FAM is to expand the existing areas and create better physical surroundings for the functions of the emergency department. The project includes the construction of a new building section that will be connected to the existing FAM building at Nyt OUH. The project is being carried out as part of the overall hospital construction project and will be executed directly adjacent to an existing building and a building being constructed at the same time. The building has been constructed as a shell prior to the commencement of the tendered contracts and comprises a ground floor and several storeys above ground. The extension to FAM will be joined to the adjacent building, resulting in technical and construction interfaces that must be managed during planning and execution. The project is tendered as several independent contracts which, taken together, must ensure completion of the building through to handover. The works will be carried out in parallel and with interdependencies, making coordination, sequencing, and the building's operational readiness central to the implementation of the project. The contractors must plan and execute their own works within this framework and with due consideration for the other contracts and interfaces. The extension will be constructed with 5 storeys, a built-up area of approximately 720 m2, and a total floor area of approximately 3600 m2. The extension will be connected to the existing buildings via a separate corridor/link building. The extension contains a covered ambulance hall, 3 storeys with a total of 39 patient rooms, and a technical/office storey. Contract 10 Technical installations is tendered as a main contract and primarily comprises electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilation works. The works comprise the necessary building and installation deliveries to establish a completed and fully operational extension. The overall time frame for the project is set out in the master schedule.
