DEFENCE CONSTRUCTION CANADA (DCC) is requesting Proposals from Design-Build Teams to design and construct the new accommodations buildings at CFB Kingston following a modified design-build approach. The scope of this project is to construct four (4) new accommodations buildings. The initial phase will consist of two (2) buildings with the potential of adding two (2) more buildings subject to approvals. Each building will each consist of a minimum 72 category II rooms in accordance with the DND Living Accommodations with a maximum of six (6) storeys. The scope of work will also include improvements to water, storm, sanitary, power, and telecommunications. A new access road will be required to reach and service these buildings as well as parking. Additional details are provided in the Request for Proposals (RFP) documents. The estimated cost for this opportunity is in the range of $37,600,000 for the two (2) buildings. The overall construction estimate for all four (4) buildings is estimated at $75,200,000. A site visit has been arranged for the following date, time, and location. It is highly recommended that bidders attend this visit.
