The COMUE Lyon Saint Etienne is carrying out, in the name and on behalf of the CNSMD de Lyon, the rehabilitation of the SAONE building and its extension with a view to constructing a modular hall (auditorium). The archaeological diagnostic survey for this area has been issued and reveals the presence of significant archaeological remains. In view of the conclusions of this diagnostic survey, the Prefect, by Order No. 2026-641 of 3 July 2026, prescribed the performance of preventive excavations prior to development work in the said area. The Tender Documents (DCE) include in particular the Special Administrative Conditions (CCAP), the Special Technical Conditions and their annexes, especially the Scientific Specifications (CCS). The latter specifies the scope, objectives and content of the preventive excavation assignment. The purpose of this contract is therefore to carry out preventive archaeological excavations.
