The project concerns the rehabilitation and extension of the CREPS site at Champ Fleuri - Saint-Denis. Since 1 January 2016, it has operated under the joint supervision of the State, for national missions, and the Region for regional missions. The assets were transferred to the Region. The missions of the CREPS, defined by Decree No. 2011-630 of 03/06/2011, are: - To provide training and prepare young people for elite-level competition, pursuing a dual academic and sporting pathway, - To train Réunion-based professionals in sport and recreational activities, - To contribute to the training and professional development of club coaches and federation officials, - To support the visibility of Réunion's sports associations. The extension / rehabilitation of the CREPS in St-Denis must address the following major concerns: - Promotion of the sports sector - A restrained, rational and economical construction - High-quality integration into its immediate environment - A whole-life cost approach (investment + operation) from the design stage. The designers must develop a whole-life cost approach by complying with the following architectural and environmental requirements: - Building siting strategies that respect natural features - Building envelope design (natural ventilation and lighting, solar protection) - Monitoring of low-impact construction works - Long-term performance - Optimised maintenance and operation.
