The Department is responsible for developing and implementing a policy for the protection, management and opening to the public of sensitive natural areas (ENS), whether wooded or not. This policy aims to preserve the quality of sites, landscapes and natural environments and to safeguard natural habitats. As part of this responsibility, the Department of Lot-et-Garonne acquired a 34 ha plot in Pindères, in the heart of the Landes de Gascogne, which it designated as the Rieucourt Sensitive Natural Area (ENS). It is the 11th ENS in Lot-et-Garonne and the only one wholly owned by the Department. Maintenance of the Rieucourt ENS and upkeep of the legally required cleared areas (reserved for work-integration structures - SIAE). Pruning and logging to ensure the safety of the interpretive trail and ancillary equipment. Legal brush-clearing obligations - 1st intervention. Management actions concerning the maintenance of open environments. Repair of furniture. Procedure: open.
