France – Insurance services – “Construction damage, CCRD, contractors’ all risks” insurance to cover the construction and modernization project for EHPAD PARROT - Phase 1

Opportunity description

The contract is divided into 2 lots: - Lot 1 DO and CCRD insurance - Lot 2 TRC insurance The estimated duration of the works is set at 19.5 months (including the preparation period, holiday periods, number of bad-weather days, acceptance periods) and 12 months of guarantee of perfect completion. The review clauses (= modifications) are specified in the special administrative clauses. The total estimated cost of the works excluding tax is: €17 578 346.12 The total estimated cost of the operation excluding tax (works, project management, operation manager, technical inspection, health and safety coordination, etc.): €24 020 456.00 The estimated duration of the works is set at 19.5 months (including the preparation period, holiday periods, number of bad-weather days, acceptance periods) and 12 months of guarantee of perfect completion. The review clauses (= modifications) are specified in the special administrative clauses. Lot 1 Construction Damage and CCRD insurance takes effect either on the date the contractor receives notification of the contract or on the date of the declaration of commencement of the works, if this is later than the date of notification of the insurance contract. For the Construction Damage (DO) component: In accordance with the legal provisions and applicable standard clauses, the cover takes effect from final acceptance of the works and expires ten (10) years after that same date (ten-year guarantee period), with extensions before acceptance, and covers the period of perfect completion. For the Collective Ten-Year Liability Contract (CCRD) component: The CCRD component takes effect on the date of final acceptance of the works for a period of ten (10) years. As second-line cover, it supplements the builders’ individual ten-year liability policies (works lots) beyond their deductible or cover limit, for the same duration as the DO insurance. The acceptance report shall constitute proof of the commencement date of the Construction Damage/CCRD insurance. Lot 2 - Contractors’ All Risks insurance takes effect either on the date the contractor receives notification of the contract or on the date of the declaration of commencement of the works, if this is later than the date of notification of the insurance contracts. The cover takes effect on the date of the declaration of commencement of the works (DOC) or upon the actual commencement of the works under the first technical lot. It applies throughout the duration of the works and automatically ends on the date of overall and final acceptance of the structure or on the contractual end date, subject to any extensions granted. The “maintenance visit” period: the cover is extended for a period of twelve (12) months from acceptance in order to cover material damage caused to the structure by the companies while fulfilling their obligations to remedy outstanding defects (Guarantee of Perfect Completion).
