Since 2005, the Nîmes Métropole Agglomeration Community has had responsibility for “equipping and maintaining signage and promoting the multi-activity routes within its territory.” Within the framework of this responsibility, the territory of the Agglomeration Community is thus crisscrossed by more than 500 km of multi-activity routes, spread across 33 “starting point” municipalities. Nîmes Métropole therefore wishes to have these multi-activity routes maintained. Since 2005, the Nîmes Métropole Agglomeration Community has had responsibility for “equipping and maintaining signage and promoting the multi-activity routes within its territory.” This responsibility forms part of the continuation of the overall landscape policy developed since 2004. Through the Local Networks of Spaces, Sites and Routes (RLESI), Nîmes Métropole aims to promote the preservation of landscapes and the improvement of residents’ living environment by enabling everyone to discover and better understand the riches of its territory. The territory of the Agglomeration Community is thus crisscrossed by more than 500 km of multi-activity routes, spread across 33 “starting point” municipalities. The Agglomeration Community has undertaken with the Gard Departmental Council to comply with the Signage Charter for Gard Natural Areas and, in particular, to maintain these multi-activity routes regularly. Compliance with these criteria has enabled the network of multi-activity routes developed by Nîmes Métropole to receive the “Gard Pleine Nature” label. Procedure: open. Estimated value: 350,000 EUR.
