Opportunity description

The construction of the Rhine water transport pipeline by RWE at the Hambach open-cast mine is progressing. The openly visible inlet structures are to be staged by Neuland Hambach GmbH and the process of water discharge is to be made accessible to the public. An office has already been commissioned to plan the outdoor facilities; for the structures, which are intended to provide a view of the water and space for initial infrastructure facilities, a planner is being sought here to undertake the structural design, structural engineering and planning of the technical equipment. To ensure that the design of the structures blends qualitatively into the surrounding open-space design and due to the challenging foundation situation, the planning team must also include a landscape architect and geotechnical expertise. SERVICE COMPONENTS The subject of the procurement procedure is the engineering services that must be provided as part of the structural design for the structures.
