Award of specialist planning services for hazardous substances at the Steuerwald Vocational School, Hildesheim - Services relating to hazardous substances in structures - structural and technical installations, standard services, service steps 1, 2, 3-1 to 3-4. The vocational schools at the Steuerwalder Straße site are housed on one property in a building complex with classrooms and workshops as well as administrative rooms. There is also a sports hall at the site. The buildings are technically outdated and show damage to façades, roofs and building services. The buildings no longer meet the current requirements for preventive fire protection and contain hazardous substances, particularly in the area of the suspended ceiling structures. Comprehensive refurbishment must be undertaken in the short term. An alternative site for a completely new building is not available to the Hildesheim district. Since the basic structural fabric is considered fit for the future, refurbishment in three construction phases while the school remains in operation is planned. According to the current planning status, the project is to begin in 2029 and be completed in 2035. Based on current cost assumptions, the estimated construction costs for the refurbishment of the existing building and an extension amount to approximately EUR 100 million net (cost groups 200 to 600). Architectural services (building design) and building services planning services have already been commissioned to implement necessary immediate measures. During the work, it became apparent that isolated immediate measures and partial refurbishments are not feasible and that a comprehensive refurbishment is necessary. The building and interior design services as well as the specialist planning services for structural engineering and technical equipment have already been awarded.
