The subject of this procedure is the targeted partial unsealing of surfaces in the city of Herrenberg, i.e. the removal of asphalt or paving to create space for new urban greenery. As part of the project, selected areas within four streets are to be removed and replaced by tree pits with corresponding tree plantings as well as permeable parking spaces using grass pavers. The ecological enhancement and redesign of Hasenplatz and the surrounding area, with approximately 2,640 m2 of green spaces, as well as further small-scale unsealing measures, are also intended.
