Pfalzklinikum is planning to expand the juvenile forensic psychiatric facility in the southern part of the hospital grounds at Weinstraße 100, 76889 Klingenmünster. The subject of this EU-wide invitation to tender is the specialist lot for steel construction works. The expansion is planned as a 2-story new building (with a partial basement constructed as a watertight concrete structure), including an access area and sports hall. The building is designed as a cast-in-place concrete, semi-prefabricated element (walls/ceilings), and masonry structure. A separate workshop building for the occupational therapy area, connected to the existing Building 50, is also included in the scope of the expansion. This invitation to tender concerns the specialist lot for steel construction works (fabrication, delivery, corrosion protection, and assembly of the steel and metal structures for Building 49N and the workshop building, in particular the burglar-resistant enclosure and cable-net structure of the outdoor terrace). The relevant principal quantities can be found in the following description of the procurement (specifications VWR43-300-07). The subject of this invitation to tender is the steel construction work for the above-mentioned construction project (fabrication, delivery, corrosion protection, and assembly of the steel and metal structures). In particular, the works comprise the burglar-resistant enclosure and cable-net structure (resistance class RC3) of the outdoor terrace, handrails, inspection doors, cladding, a light well, shaft covers, and a trapezoidal sheet-metal roof on Building 49N and the workshop building. The main work items according to specifications VWR43-300-07 are: approx. 40 m² breakout protection/enclosure for the outdoor terrace (burglar-resistant, resistance class RC3 in accordance with DIN EN 1627). approx. 62 m² cable-net structure for the outdoor terrace (resistance class RC3). approx. 25 m stainless-steel handrail. 6 shaft covers. approx. 18 m² trapezoidal sheet-metal roof, including substructure.
