Stadtwerke Saarbrücken Netz AG (SWN) in Saarbrücken intends to construct a new above-ground substation with voltage levels of up to 110 kV on the property, Saarbrücken cadastral district, parcel block 10, parcel 19/24. The property is located at the corner of Malstatter Straße / Gersweilerstraße. With the planned “Busbetriebshof” substation, Stadtwerke Saarbrücken Netz AG is replacing the existing Werderstraße substation. The systems installed there can no longer be maintained on a permanent basis due to their advanced age and a lack of spare parts.
