Opportunity description
The Entwicklungsgesellschaft Neue Zeche Westerholt mbH, the Abwassergesellschaft Gelsenkirchen mbH, the City of Gelsenkirchen and the City of Herten are jointly awarding construction works as a purchasing group as part of the revitalization of the “Neue Zeche Westerholt” site. The project is being implemented in part with funding from the “5-Standorte NRW” program. The subject of the contract is the construction of a stormwater drainage sewer with a connection to the stormwater treatment facility on Bertlicher Straße for the external development of the “Neue Zeche Westerholt” development site in the cities of Gelsenkirchen and Herten. In addition, the construction project includes the construction of combined sewers in Bertlicher Straße and Geschwisterstraße within the municipal territories of Gelsenkirchen and Herten. Furthermore, road construction works, including the rehabilitation of roadways and sidewalks in Bertlicher Straße and Geschwisterstraße—between Marler Straße and Egonstraße—within the municipal territories of Gelsenkirchen and Herten are part of the project. The tendered road and sewer construction services will be awarded as a single construction contract. Tender package Part A includes the removal of existing contaminated road surfacing (approx. 2,100 t containing tar) as well as preparations for ordnance detection in the area of the sewer trenches and connection lines in Bertlicher Straße and Geschwisterstraße. In the course of this work, the road drainage system (approx. 20 drains) is to be connected to the new standard water sewers to be constructed. Approximately 4,600 m² of roadway surface will be restored using a uniform asphalt construction method (predominantly Bk1,8). In both streets, sidewalk rehabilitation (approx. 3,700 m²) will be carried out for the City of Gelsenkirchen and the City of Herten according to a uniform standard. This includes the construction of accessible crossing points and separately funded accessible bus stops (“Ringstraße” stop). Geschwisterstraße is a protected avenue with increased tree-protection requirements. It is planned to reduce the sidewalk width to 2.00 m here as part of the rehabilitation. Tender package Part B includes the construction of a stormwater and combined sewer with nominal diameters from DN 300 to DN 1000 (length approx. 780m) at depths of up to 5.00m in Bertlicher Straße and Geschwisterstraße. Some of the sewer construction works are to be carried out in the contaminated area (S/W facility). As part of the project, 19 standard manholes with nominal diameters from DN 1000 to DN 2000 and 2 special structures will be installed. Procedure: open.
