The present procurement procedure serves to procure a license/support agreement for the Zero-Trust network solution NetBird in Self-Hosted/On-Premises operation. The contracting authority requires a modern, Zero-Trust-based alternative to traditional site-to-site and client VPN solutions in order to provide employees, servers and cloud resources with secure, policy-based network access without operating central VPN gateways as a bottleneck or single point of failure. The solution is to use the contracting authority's existing identity provider structures for authentication and authorization and enable granular, group-based access control.
