The services to be performed in accordance with the bill of quantities comprise the structural work for the construction of a new research building as an expansion of the existing listed Max Planck Institute for Medical Research. The building consists of a high-rise building with 10 above-ground floors and 2 basement floors, as well as an underground special laboratory area. The services also include the excavation work for the construction pit. The shoring will be provided by the client. The structural work comprises: - Masonry work - Concrete and reinforced concrete work, including precast elements and steel-concrete composite columns - Waterproofing and insulation work - Structural steelwork - Underground pipes - Installation work for technical building services - Preliminary measures for the development of the district heating/drinking water supply Note regarding the specified Geilinger column composite column system: Due to complex requirements concerning load-bearing capacity, cross-sectional dimensions and fire protection, this product specification is mandatory.
