Opportunity description

Concrete repair works Due to weather and usage influences, the façades and façade components exhibit numerous localized areas of damage. These include exposed and corroded reinforcement, concrete spalling, and cracks. Due to CO₂ exposure, the carbonation depths have progressed as far as the reinforcement and are causing corrosion. The façades are made of lightweight concrete. The escape balconies were constructed as precast elements made of normal concrete, and the escape stairwell using cast-in-place concrete construction. All façade surfaces and components will receive suitable surface protection systems, while the existing exposed concrete textures must be preserved. Sample areas will be prepared in advance to determine the system. The escape balcony system will be largely demolished and rebuilt. The balcony areas between the service shafts, which will remain in place, are excluded. There, the railings will be refurbished and recoated. The stair towers will remain. The railings will be completely dismantled and replaced with new ones. The support brackets on the stair towers and remaining escape balconies will be upgraded. For this purpose, the existing areas will be removed and reinforced with steel angles. All measures must be properly carried out in accordance with TR Instandhaltung.
