Opportunity description

Concrete repair work Due to weather and use-related influences, the façades and façade components exhibit numerous localized areas of damage. These include exposed and corroded reinforcement, concrete spalling, and cracks. Due to CO₂ exposure, carbonation depths have reached the reinforcement and are causing corrosion. The façades consist of lightweight concrete. The escape balconies were constructed as precast elements made of normal-weight concrete, and the escape stairwell was constructed using cast-in-place concrete. All façade surfaces and components will receive suitable surface protection systems, while the existing exposed-concrete textures must be preserved. Sample areas will be created in advance to determine the system. The escape balcony system will largely be demolished and rebuilt. Excluded are the balcony areas between the service shafts, which will remain as existing. The railings there will be refurbished and recoated. The stair towers will remain. The railings will be completely removed and replaced with new ones. The bearing brackets on the stair towers and remaining escape balconies will be upgraded. For this purpose, the existing areas will be removed and reinforced with steel angles. All measures must be carried out professionally in accordance with TR Instandhaltung.
