Opportunity description

The District of Fürth intends to construct a new four-court sports hall with spectator stands on the grounds of the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Gymnasium in Oberasbach as a replacement for the existing sports hall. The sports hall was constructed between 1974 and 1978. The replacement building is intended to once again enable physical education to take place in a functional sports hall, the adaptation of standards for championships, improvement of energy efficiency and thereby the reduction of operating costs. A safe and attractive sports facility is to be provided for the users – female students, male students and sports clubs of the District of Fürth – in which cross-regional sporting events, district indoor championships or international indoor masters tournaments can also take place. During construction, lessons can continue to take place in the existing sports hall, since the replacement building is planned at a different location. Club sports can also continue. The changing-room building is in a very dilapidated condition and is to be demolished. Ideally, the spaces are to be integrated into the new sports hall building.
