Opportunity description
In accordance with § 26(1) of the State Budget Code, the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg established the state-owned enterprise SBH | Schulbau Hamburg (hereinafter referred to as SBH) as of 01 January 2013. This state-owned enterprise is tasked with planning, constructing, maintaining, and managing school properties in accordance with economic principles while taking school-related needs into account, and with leasing the more than 400 schools to the Authority for Schools and Vocational Education and Training (BSB). The school properties comprise all land and buildings used for school purposes by state and vocational schools. The total site area of all general education and vocational state schools is approximately 9.1 million sqm, and the main usable floor area is approximately 3.1 million sqm. In this capacity, SBH was commissioned with the extension and replacement construction of a two-court sports hall (including demolition of the existing hall) for the Stadtteilschule Niendorf at Paul-Sorge-Straße 133-135 in Hamburg.
