Opportunity description

The project comprises the planned Fehmarn Sound Crossing as a combined immersed tunnel as well as its mainland-side and island-side connections, extending on the mainland to Großenbrode and on Fehmarn to north of Strukkamp. The road will have four lanes (two tunnel tubes), and the railway will have two tracks (also two tunnel tubes). The combined immersed tunnel for rail and road is being jointly planned and implemented by the project sponsors DB InfraGO AG and DEGES.
