Opportunity description

On the site of the former transmission facility on the outskirts of Jülich and in the immedi-ate vicinity of the FH Aachen campus, a science park and innovative commercial area with approx. 52 ha of land is currently being developed (hereinafter: “Brainergy Park Jülich”). The contracting authority has the task of supplying the properties in Brainergy Park with heat. The buildings are to be supplied with heat via an almost CO₂-neutral district heating system. This water-filled LowEx network is operated by a central energy center that provides cooling in summer and heat in winter. The heat is provided decentrally by heat pump systems housed in containers. On the property of Brainergy Park Energie GmbH in Brainergy Park in Jülich, an energy center is being constructed as a new timber building as part of the expansion of the heating network. The new building is divided into a hall and a 3-story building structure. On the ground floor, there is the low-voltage system with subdistribution, sto-rage, telecommunications, utility room with heating, and access to the office area on the 1st and 2nd upper floors with 14 workstations, meeting room, kitchenette, loggias and sanitary facilities.
