Federal Chancellery, Renewal of Lighting Systems KG445.2 Lighting systems in accordance with DIN 18 382 Subject of the construction measure: "Renewal of Lighting Systems at the Federal Chancellery / BR.-Nr.: 06064" is the replacement of the existing luminaires with LED luminaires Almost 25 years after the opening of the Federal Chancellery in Berlin, the 2nd half of the lighting is to be converted from conventional light sources to LED. In addition to the energy-saving potential, this is also due to the fact that, for the most part, spare parts for the conventional luminaires can no longer be supplied (light sources, ballasts, etc.). In the first step (contract package 1), a total of approx. 7,020 luminaires indoors and 44 units outdoors were replaced, corresponding to around 22 different models and designs. In the current second step (contract package 2), a total of approx. 5,383 luminaires indoors and 174 units outdoors are to be replaced, corresponding to around 20 different models and designs. The following aspects are of paramount importance during implementation: • Retention of the original lighting and design concept • The least possible disruption to the user during the conversion phase • Energy savings through efficient LED luminaires To meet these requirements and keep the construction measures to a minimum, the majority of the luminaires have been individually developed for the project. The survey of the existing lighting system, the definition of objectives with the user and the client, and the structural and technical development of the luminaires have been completed. Dates: Construction is planned for the period from May 2026 to May 2027. It begins with the manufacture and delivery of the luminaires during the period from May 2026 to August 2026, as well as site setup during the period from July 2026 to August 2026.
