The project involves the conversion and extension of a school building on the outskirts of Bad Doberan. In the immediate vicinity there are residential buildings, an adjoining gymnasium (which will remain in operation during the construction process), and, to the rear, a stream in a nature conservation area with an adjoining recreational facility. Access to the property (entrance and exit) is from the B 105 onto Stülower Weg (country road toward Stülow). The property is currently developed (standard-design masonry school building, year of construction 1975); the demolition trade will partially clear the construction site in advance and strip out the existing building.
