Jenaer Bäder u. Freizeit GmbH intends to comprehensively modernize and, in particular, carry out an energy-efficient renovation of the GalaxSea leisure pool at Rudolstädter Straße 37, 07745 Jena. As part of the energy-efficient renovation, the uninsulated slides are to be replaced by a new installation, the outdoor pool is to be remodeled and enclosed, and the former sports pool is to be climatically separated from the children’s and adventure area. The water areas are also to be reduced, the different water circuits separated from one another, and the indoor and outdoor sauna modernized. Barrier-free access to the leisure pool is to be ensured by two elevators. The wellness area on the upper floor is to be converted into a staff area with changing rooms, showers, a lounge, and office workstations. The new staff area is to meet current workplace requirements and provide employees with modern working conditions. The former swimming and teaching pool is to be redesigned as a diving/scuba pool and as the new children’s area with a spray park and dry playground. The former children’s paddling pool is to be remodeled with a smaller water area and different water depths. The building services are to be renewed, expanded, and adapted to the pool’s changed requirements. For the GalaxSea Jena leisure pool energy-efficient renovation construction project, window, door, and glass facade work is to be carried out in both the new building and the existing building. The services comprise the manufacture, delivery, and installation of aluminum windows, door systems, and mullion-transom facades, including all connection and ancillary work. Key services and quantities: • Mullion-transom facades, new building: approx. 8 elements (various sizes up to approx. 4.30 × 3.96 m) • Mullion-transom facade, existing building (shop / Morgenland): approx. 2 elements • Aluminum windows, new building: approx. 4 units (various dimensions) • Aluminum windows, existing building: approx. 6 units (fixed glazing and opening sashes) • Aluminum door elements: approx. 6 units (single- and double-leaf, with transom light) • Glass surfaces (existing sauna / roof): approx. 65.9 m² removal / new construction • Facade dismantling incl. frames: approx. 32.9 m² • Connections and detailed installations (roof, facade): approx. 24.5 m The work, including workshop and installation planning, structural calculations, on-site measurements, and all required connection, sealing, and fastening work, is to be completed fully ready for operation and carried out in sections in accordance with the construction sequence in the new and existing buildings.
