Jenaer Bäder u. Freizeit GmbH intends to comprehensively modernize and, in particular, carry out an energy-efficient renovation of the GalaxSea leisure pool at Rudolstädter Straße 37 in 07745 Jena. As part of the energy-efficient renovation, the uninsulated slides are to be replaced by a new installation, the outdoor pool is to be converted and enclosed, and the former sports pool is to be climatically separated from the children's and adventure area. The water surface areas are also to be reduced, the different water circuits separated from one another, and the indoor and outdoor sauna modernized. Barrier-free accessibility of the leisure pool is to be ensured by two elevators. The wellness area on the upper floor is to be converted into a staff area with changing rooms, showers, a break room, and office workstations. The new staff area is to meet current workplace requirements and provide employees with modern working conditions. The former swimming and teaching pool is being redesigned as a diving/plunge pool and as the new children's area with a spray park and dry playground. The former children's paddling pool is being converted with a smaller water surface area and different water depths. The building services are to be renewed, expanded, and adapted to the changed needs of the pool. Roof waterproofing work is to be carried out in the new-build and existing structures for the GalaxSea Jena Leisure Pool, Energy-Efficient Renovation construction project. The services comprise the complete multi-layer roof build-up, including vapor barrier, thermal insulation, waterproofing system, and all connections, penetrations, and ancillary work. Main services and quantities: • New-build roof areas (multi-layer build-up): approx. 428.9 m² • Existing roof areas (connection areas): approx. 89.6 m² • Bituminous primer: approx. 478.9 m² • Vapor barrier: approx. 428.9 m² • Tapered EPS insulation (approx. 2% slope, d ≈ 250 mm): approx. 428.9 m² • 2-layer waterproofing (base and top layer): approx. 428.9 m² • Parapet connections (height approx. 1.0 m): approx. 105.7 m • Connections to penetrations: approx. 24 m • Roof drains / emergency overflows: approx. 15 units • Rainwater downpipes DN 125: approx. 33 m • Smoke and heat extraction elements / rooflights: approx. 13 units (various sizes) • Roof openings / penetrations: multiple, depending on the building component area The roof waterproofing work is to be completed fully ready for operation, including all ancillary services, connections, waterproofing, and safety measures.
