Project: New construction of a service and transformation building at Handelsstraße 3a, 16303 Schwedt/Oder Service: Lot 34 - Plumbing works The City of Schwedt/Oder is planning the new construction of a service and transformation building in the western area of the existing bus station in Schwedt (ZOB). The new building is to be constructed as a four-story structural steel building with external dimensions of approximately 39 meters by 31.5 meters. The gross floor area of the new building across all floors will be approximately 4,200 square meters. In terms of structural design, the new building is planned on a structural grid of 3.75 x 7.00 - 8.00 m. The flexible steel skeleton of columns and beams will be supplemented by prefabricated cross-laminated timber floor slabs. The building will be vertically braced by diagonally arranged beams. Cast-in-place concrete will be used for the foundation. The highly prefabricated post-and-beam facade will have triple-glazed window elements. All closed surfaces will consist of removable, highly insulated timber-frame walls with facade panels. The interior walls will mainly be constructed using drywall. A geothermal system with a heat pump will supply the building with heat in winter and provide moderate cooling in summer. The geothermal system will be supplemented by a base-load-optimized PV system on the roof. A mechanical ventilation system will ventilate both the large event and seminar rooms on the ground floor and the interior rooms in the core zone.
