Opportunity description
Planning, operationally ready construction, and maintenance of an interim Fire and Rescue Station 1 using container construction, including vehicle halls to accommodate a total of 14 emergency vehicles and a social building with approximately 1,500 m² of usable space. Fire and Rescue Station 1 at Agrippastraße 18 in Cologne is one of the central locations in the city's safety concept. Due to rising numbers of emergency responses and growing requirements, it is to be completely rebuilt at the existing location. The construction of an interim station was approved for the duration of the new construction work in order to ensure permanent operational readiness. The interim Fire and Rescue Station 1 project will be carried out as part of a total contractor procurement. The planning of all trades from service phase 2 onward and the execution will be entrusted to one contractor. The construction task comprises the planning and the turnkey, operationally ready construction of one or more vehicle halls to accommodate a total of 14 emergency vehicles, as well as a social building using container construction with approximately 1,500 m² of usable floor area (NUF). The required functional areas include office and meeting spaces, sanitary and changing rooms, storage and workshop areas, as well as lounges and dining rooms. In addition, 39 rest rooms for emergency personnel and a sports area for on-duty fitness and operational preparation must be provided. The Cologne Fire Brigade's diving unit will also be accommodated at the interim Fire and Rescue Station 1. Since the building design is to be provided by the contractor, areas for technical equipment, circulation routes, and construction will be added to the stated usable floor area depending on the design. Furthermore, there is an obligation to equip the structures with a photovoltaic system. The project also includes the construction of the outdoor facilities together with the complete necessary connection to utilities (supply and disposal). The container facility is designed for a maximum service life of five years. After this period, the containers and the vehicle hall(s) are to be reassembled by the contracting authority at another location. Procedure: open.
