It plans to expand the existing facility for extracting thermal water from the deep Malm aquifer near the municipality of Aschheim (deep geothermal facility) by adding an additional doublet (Th3 & Th4). The heat contained in the thermal water is to be extracted in the facility and used for district heating. The deep geothermal facility will be constructed on AG's operating premises. Th1 and the energy center are already located on the site. The work is expected to be carried out in 2026 & 2027. The two deviated deep wells are to be drilled from a cluster drilling site at AFK Geothermie GmbH's location in Aschheim, each in four drilling sections with a 26" initial bore diameter and an 8.1/2" final bore diameter, as well as with a high angle build-up to approximately 3,700 m MD. The contractor (AN) will assume responsibility as the general drilling and services contractor for construction of the drilling site and the drilling and production start-up of the geothermal doublet, with the following principal scope of services: - Construction/dismantling of the drilling site; the confined conditions at the drilling location must be taken into account. - Provision and operation of the drilling rig, drilling fluid and solids control, directional drilling service, casing running service (including centralizers), thread cleaning, nonrotating drillpipe protectors, borehole measurements, cementing, acid stimulation, hydraulic testing work, gas protection and disposal. - The general drilling and services contract also includes participation in the preparatory and drilling-related drilling engineering, as well as coordination of all trades involved, including the services and materials provided by AG, such as mudlogging, installation supervision, rig inspection, supply of liner hanger packer (including float eq.), casings, drilling tools and wellhead.
