A barrier-free new building with an elevator system is to be constructed on the school property, and minor conversion measures are to be carried out in the existing building. Barrier-free access to the floors and the connection to the existing building will be provided via the stairwell located by the schoolyard and the elevator system. On the upper floor, this serves both the existing building and the new building on both sides as a through-loading elevator. Accordingly, after completion of the measure, both floors of the existing building will be accessible barrier-free. The second escape and rescue route will be provided via the new external steel staircase and the direct exit from the cafeteria to the outside. A cafeteria area, including a cooking kitchen, storage room, dishwashing kitchen and food serving area, is planned on the ground floor. In addition, new sanitary facilities for the students and a barrier-free toilet will be created. The building services equipment, including the ventilation system and the heat pump, and the electrical engineering equipment will be housed on the ground floor. In addition to the four all-day and supervision rooms, two offices, a meeting room and a library will be accommodated on the upper floor. The floor slabs are to be constructed in reinforced concrete. The façade design will be determined in consultation with the contracting authority. An external thermal insulation composite system is included in the cost estimate. An offset mono-pitched roof will be constructed. The roof covering is standing-seam sheet metal. A low-pitched mono-pitched roof may be used as the roof. The construction of a PV system is included in the cost estimate. A final decision will be made after review by the management level of Wetteraukreis. The work will be carried out while the school remains in operation. School organizational concerns and persons must be taken into consideration at all times.
