Opportunity description

Renewal of the emergency lighting system in Terminal 2, Munich Airport Project scope: The measure comprises the complete renewal of the emergency lighting system in Terminal 2 of Munich Airport. The work will be carried out in three construction phases while the terminal remains in operation. The existing emergency lighting system must be kept fully operational until the respective VOB partial acceptance. Central battery systems: As part of the modernization, six existing central battery systems will be dismantled and replaced by new emergency lighting control centers, each with three battery strings. Substations: Approximately 151 substations will be renewed or replaced. In addition, the necessary adaptation of the mains supply lines at the new system locations will be carried out. Emergency and escape-route sign luminaires: The measure includes the replacement or addition of a total of approximately 11,000 emergency luminaires and escape-route sign luminaires. At the same time, approximately 7,800 existing luminaires and escape-route signs will be professionally dismantled and disposed of. Cabling work: The existing luminaire cabling will largely be retained. Approximately 200,000 m of new cables will be installed for system additions and adaptations. Furthermore, undervoltage loops in existing distribution boards and between general distribution boards and emergency lighting systems will be rewired. Monitoring and safety technology: To adapt to the new emergency lighting system, approximately 610 system-integrated and approximately 1,430 system-neutral undervoltage monitors will be retrofitted. Dismantling and disposal: The measure includes the professional dismantling and disposal of the existing emergency lighting control centers, battery systems, substations, and the dismantled emergency and escape-route sign luminaires. Documentation and acceptance: Complete documentation in accordance with the documentation guidelines of Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) must be prepared for each central system. Acceptance will be carried out in stages as part of VOB partial acceptances following completion of the respective construction phases.
