Opportunity description

The subject of the tender is the supply of electrical energy (green electricity) for various consumption points of Lower Saxony municipalities, associations, and municipal enterprises in the district of Oldenburg. The nature and scope of the service are set out in the service description and the other procurement documents. The supply period begins on 01.01.2027, 00:00 and ends on 31.12.2028, 24:00. The supply period is therefore two years. The specific start of supply for individual consumption points may differ from the stated supply period. In this respect, the information in the service description and its annexes (in particular the overview of consumption points) shall prevail. Unless otherwise stipulated in the service description or its annexes, the respective start of supply on 01.01.2027, 00:00 shall apply as the commencement of supply. The supply comprises a total of approximately 1,359 consumption points. The forecast reference consumption is: • for the year 2027: 13,965,309 kWh/a • for the year 2028: 13,966,923 kWh/a As a condition for admission, it is stipulated that the electricity to be supplied must originate exclusively from renewable sources. These include electricity generation from hydropower, including wave, tidal, salinity-gradient, and current energy, as well as from wind energy, solar radiation energy, geothermal energy, or biomass, such as biogas, landfill gas, and sewage gas. This also includes the biodegradable fraction of waste from households and industry. Electricity from generation plants that use fossil energy sources (e.g. coal or gas) or nuclear energy is not permitted.
