TMN Tram Munich North, design of track superstructure for bridge over the DB-Nording The subject of the invitation to tender is the design of an object-specific track superstructure system for the new “Tram Munich North” line in the area of the bridge over the DB-Nordring, including the adjacent transition areas. The scope of services includes the design of a slab track system for the bridge area, the design of the superstructure systems in the abutment areas, the detailed design of the rail expansion devices, as well as the design of the transitions to the adjoining ballasted track with transverse sleepers. The design must be carried out in compliance with the requirements of the BOStrab, the applicable technical regulations, and the contracting authority’s project-specific specifications. Key constraints include, among other things, a limited superstructure height of 24.0 cm, consideration of track–bridge interaction, and the design of longitudinal force transfer between the superstructure and the bridge structure. The scope of services includes structural engineering work, including verifiable structural reports, the preparation of the necessary formwork and reinforcement drawings, as well as coordination of the interfaces with civil engineering structures, drainage, grounding, traction power, and other specialist designs. In addition, a construction sequence concept must be prepared, including the determination and assessment of the relevant construction-operation loads. The design must be prepared in such a way that approval on a case-by-case basis can be obtained from the Technical Supervisory Authority of the Government of Upper Bavaria within the framework of the BOStrab.
