The Water and Wastewater Association "Elbe-Elster-Jessen" intends to build a new wastewater treatment plant in the district of Klöden. The wastewater treatment plant is located on the outskirts of the district of Klöden (town of Jessen) in the district of Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt. Based on the evaluation of the existing load, the wastewater treatment plant in the new concept will be designed for a capacity of only 1,500 population equivalents, as no additional development is planned in this area. Since neither the aeration tank nor the secondary settling tank is suitable for rehabilitation, the biological treatment system is to be completely rebuilt. A new sludge storage tank and a new effluent pumping station are also to be conceptually taken into account. The new facility is to be constructed on the existing and already-used property of the WAZV "Elbe-Elster-Jessen". During construction of the new wastewater treatment plant, the continued operation of the old wastewater treatment plant must be ensured.
