Federal Motorway 14, Magdeburg - Wittenberge - Schwerin, Wittenberge junction to Karstädt junction (east), VKE 1154 Safety and Health Protection Coordination (SiGeKo) Safety and health protection coordination (SiGeKo) in accordance with the Construction Site Ordinance (BaustellV) for: The present planning approval documentation covers the closing of the gap or the new construction of Federal Motorway A 14 (BAB 14) in the state of Brandenburg in traffic unit (VKE) 1154 from the Wittenberge junction (AS) at the B 189 / B 195 to south of the Karstädt junction, with a length of 17.777 km, as well as the new construction of a serviced rest area. VKE 1154 (VKE 4) takes up the A 14 coming from the south (VKE 1153) at the start of construction south of the connection with the B 189 / B 195 (Wittenberge junction) and ends south of the connection with the B 5 (Karstädt junction). Here, VKE 1154 transitions into VKE 1155. From the starting point (construction km 2+000), the route of the planned A 14 runs northward, bypasses Wittenberge, Lindenberg and Bentwisch to the west, and reaches the Berlin - Hamburg railway line of DB AG at construction km 9+500 (approximately the Scheidgraben crossing). In doing so, it crosses several paths, two roads, State Road 12 (approximately construction km 12+450) and District Road 7034 (approximately construction km 6+010), and several ditches - including the Scheidgraben (approximately construction km 9+505). For VKE 1154, there is the planning approval decision Ref.: 2104-31101/0014/004 dated 01.03.2024. It has been legally binding since 19.08.2024. Components of the planning measures for VKE 1154 are: New construction of the motorway route (length 17.777 km) Completion of the remaining Wittenberge junction section up to 3+100 New construction of a one-sided serviced Löcknitztal rest area (approximately 16+000) 14 bridge structures along the motorway 9 overpass structures, of which: - 2 green bridges (as one bridge system over the A 14 and the DB Berlin - Hamburg railway line) - 4 wildlife bridges - 2 over the A 14 and one bridge system over the A 14 and the DB railway line - 1 structure along the access and exit route to the serviced rest area - 1 structure along a state road (BW16Ü - a component of this specification) - 1 structure along a farm road 2 impounding weirs 8 traffic-sign bridges (VZ bridges) Guidance and barrier installations and visual screening walls approximately 5,000 m 21 culverts Noise barriers Various crossings and junctions Various utility relocation measures Cycle paths and farm roads totaling approximately 18.720 km Ditch modifications Long-distance route telecommunications cable Wildlife protection and otter protection fences, amphibian guidance installations Signage, road markings, vehicle restraint systems During execution, the construction project is divided into several construction contracts, some running concurrently, for route construction and structures, which are handled by an overall senior construction manager/construction supervisor (Gesamt-BOL/BÜ).
