The Bitburg Reservoir Special-Purpose Association (abbreviated: ZV) intends to remove sediment from the Bitburg reservoir by means of a controlled sediment transfer from the reservoir into the lower reaches of the Prüm, thereby restoring the natural state with regard to the sediment balance along the longitudinal profile of the watercourse. A permit under water law was issued for the measure, containing ancillary provisions on aquatic ecological monitoring and ecological supervision of measures, the implementation of which is the subject of the invitation to tender. The further description is provided under section 5.1. # 5.1.a Scope of services. 1) Aquatic ecological monitoring. - Recording (proportions of bed substrate, colmation, fish, macrozoobenthos). - Evaluation and report preparation. 2) Ecological supervision of measures. 3) Special services: Optional services dependent on function and qualifications, subject to verification. # 5.1.b Schedule. Commissioning of the services: Expected October 2026. a) Before the start of the measure: Start of supervision of the measures. Expected October/November 2026. b) For two years: two investigations annually, in May and November respectively. Expected 2026 to 2028. c) Optionally for two additional years: two investigations annually, in May and November respectively. Expected 2028 to 2030. If the contract is awarded, these scheduling requirements will become part of the contract, unless the contracting authority communicates amended scheduling requirements during the procurement procedure. Immediately after the start of the services, the commissioned tenderer must prepare a corresponding draft schedule for implementation and coordinate it with the contracting authority, identifying these scheduling requirements as framework dates.
