Opportunity description

In the course of the flood disaster in July 2021, the school center in Sinzig was also affected. Located near the Ahr, several schools, a cafeteria, and two gymnasiums were flooded. One of them is the Rudi Altig Sports Hall. At that time, it was under more than 2 meters of water. The damage extends down to the masonry and structural elements. The hall was therefore gutted as an immediate measure and subsequently examined for bacteria and suspended matter carried in by the floodwaters. The sports hall is now to be restored as part of the reconstruction measures. In order to allow school operations to resume as early as possible, the project is divided into two construction phases. The first will deal with the interior finishing of the sports hall, and in the second, all ancillary rooms, including the changing rooms, will be renovated.
