Städtisches Klinikum Braunschweig gGmbH (skbs) is seeking a contractor to provide an in-house fire brigade for the S2 hospital site and perform the corresponding duties of the in-house fire brigade. With 1,475 planned inpatient beds as well as 24 planned day-care beds and over 4,000 employees, Klinikum Braunschweig, as a maximum-care hospital at university level, serves the Braunschweig region with approximately 1.2 million inhabitants. With 22 clinics, 10 independent clinical departments and 7 institutes, nearly the entire spectrum of medical specialties is covered. Each year, more than 50,000 patients are treated as inpatients and approximately 200,000 as outpatients. With regard to Building N (functional building) as well as all buildings located on the premises at the Salzdahlumer Straße site (see attached site plan, Annex 14), according to the assessment of the City of Braunschweig, there are structural and technical fire protection risks that require measures beyond the existing operational structures. To compensate for these risks, it is necessary to maintain a permanent in-house fire brigade that, as part of its duties, ensures the fire protection organization on site and takes effective initial measures until the Braunschweig professional fire brigade arrives. The objective of this invitation to tender is therefore to find a contractor who will provide an in-house fire brigade for the contracting authority for the S2 hospital site and perform the corresponding duties of the in-house fire brigade.
